Chief ( Prince ) Abel Sunday Adewunmi Ayodeji Bagged Chieftaincy Title As Asoju Oba Of Owu Kingdom in Ogun State, Nigeria


The paramount ruler of Owu Kingdom,  His Royal Majesty Oba (Prof) Saka Adelola  Matemilola Otileta VII conferred Chief Prince  Abel Sunday Adewunmi Ayodeji & Wife Chief (Princess) Adelaid Ayodeji as the first Chief ASOJU OBA & YEYE ASOJU OBA OF OWU KINGDOM respectively on the 1st August, 2024 at Olowu Palace, Oke Ago - Owu, Abeokuta Ogun State.

According to him, It is a privileged to be honored with the prestigious title in the kingdom. The Owu Kingdom spread across the world and been deemed it fit to honour me and my wife  with this great title is a remarkable honour.

ASOJU OBA of the ancient kingdom is a very new title in Owu Kingdom and been bestowed is an honour to create this office so to be able to represent the king. 

When the king is not around the ASOJU  OBA stand as a good representative of the king and for trusting him with this responsibilities is a great honour. 

We hailed from Oke - Sokori township in owu kingdom from the family of  Prince Adesegun Ayodeji & Princess Victoria Ayodeji ruling house of Amororo ( Shogbamu House ) which is one of the Six(6) ruling houses in Owu Abeokuta.

I was born and bread in lagos, went to Polytechnic Ede then worked at Sacred heart hospital Abeokuta as Laboratory Scientist before traveling to Finland so as to empower myself and help my people back home in Social Services with speciality in Community development and healthcare.

On behalf of my family I want to say a big thank you to the Royal Majesty Oba (Prof)  Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Otileta VII of Owu Kingdom  and the entire Owu indigene both home and abroad for this conferment and we promised good representation to the paramount ruler and the Owu Kingdom at large.
